フィリピン・トヨタ、グローバル・キャンペーン

世界中で、連係キャンペーンを行っているトヨタ労働者たちが、違法に解雇された136名のフィリピン・トヨタ労働者の職場復帰を要求している。

グローバルニュース：　世界中の組合を組織化しているトヨタの拠点における1週間の連係行動において、トヨタ労働者たちは、ＩＭＦの『フィリピン・トヨタ：彼らを今すぐ職場復帰させよ！』キャンペーンの一環として、違法に解雇された136名の労働者の職場復帰を要求してきた。

このグローバル・キャンペーンの標的であるトヨタ・モーター・フィリピン・コーポレイションは、労働者側に理があるとの最高裁と国際労働機関（ＩＬＯ）の裁定が下されているにもかかわらず、自分達が違法に解雇した労働者たちを職場復帰させることを、拒否し続けてきた。

南アフリカでは、労働組合の代表団が、6月28日、現地経営陣と面談し、トヨタに当該労働者たちの職場復帰を要求する抗議文を手渡した。代表団には、7名のトヨタ職場委員、ＮＵＭＳＡの地域および国の指導者たち、ＩＭＦ書記長補佐のブライアン・フレドリックス氏、ＩＭＦ執行委員のフェルナンド・ロペス氏、それにＩＭＦ地域代表のスティーブン・ヌラポ氏とアルナサラム氏が入っていた。

ブラジルでは、6月29日に、サン・パウロの2つのトヨタ製造工場で、少なくとも1時間生産を止めて、情報交換と連帯の集会を開催しようとしている。ブラジルでの行動は、ＩＭＦ傘下のＯＮＭ−ＣＵＴの指導のもと、リオ・グランデ・ド・スル州内のグアバにある、トヨタの物流および配送センターの労働者をも巻き込んで行われようとしている。

フィリピンでは、解雇された労働者たちが、6月27日、日本大使館と、大使館のそばにあるトヨタの販売店であるトヨタ・マニラ・ベイの前で、抗議行動を行った。

今週、労働者たちは、トヨタが反労働者的姿勢を取り続けることは、会社のイメージと評判を損ねることになると、トヨタに警告するとともに、当該労働者たちを職場復帰させることによって争議を解決するよう経営陣に要求しているのであると、ＩＭＦの書記長補佐ブライアン・フレドリックス氏は語った。

Toyota Philippines global campaign

In a coordinated campaign Toyota workers around the world call for the reinstatement of 136 illegally fired Toyota Philippines workers.

GLOBAL: In a week of coordinated action at unionised Toyota sites around the world, Toyota workers have been demanding reinstatement of 136 illegally fired workers as part of the IMF Toyota Philippines: Reinstate Them Now! campaign.

Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation, the target of the global campaign, has refused to reinstate illegally dismissed workers, despite Supreme Court and International Labour Organisation (ILO) rulings in the workers・favour.

In South Africa, a trade union delegation met with local management on June 28 and delivered a letter of protest calling on Toyota to reinstate the workers. The delegation included seven Toyota shop stewards, regional and national NUMSA leadership, IMF assistant general secretary Brian Fredricks, IMF Executive Committee member Fernando Lopes and IMF regional representatives Stephen Nhlapo and Arunasalam.

In Australia, thousands of Toyota workers have signed a petition demanding the reinstatement of the workers circulated by AMWU delegates in the last week of June. The petition will be presented to management in the next few days. In Thailand and the UK, IMF affiliates TEAM and Amicus have sent letters to local Toyota management calling for the reinstatement of the workers.

In Brazil, metalworkers will hold informational and solidarity meetings at two Toyota manufacturing plants in Sao Paula on June 29, disrupting production for at least one hour. The action in Brazil, led by IMF affiliate CNM-CUT, will also involve workers at a Toyota logistics and distribution centre in Gua�~a, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

In the Philippines, dismissed workers held a protest on June 27 in front of the Japanese Embassy and Toyota Manila Bay, a Toyota dealership located near the embassy.

This week workers have warned Toyota that its anti-worker stance is damaging the image and reputation of the company and calls on management to resolve the dispute by reinstating the workers,・said IMF assistant general secretary Brian Fredricks.
